Course Overview:

Treatment of Non-Neurologic Symptoms requires continuous and organic cooperation between patients, caregivers, social environments, and doctors. Therefore, it is important for neurologists, who mainly view NBSD for dementia patients, to increase their understanding of these more comprehensive areas as well as the latest insights and treatments to help patients and caregivers. This course is designed to help practitioners determine mental status changes due to medical illnesses and develop an understanding of the Beers Criteria in determining risk factors for elderly patients.

At the end of the educational activity participant will be able to:

Course Overview:

This course is designed to help practitioners understand best practices for initiating and managing medication in patients with dementia.  Practitioners will develop and understanding of what to expect over the course of a medication treatment plan, including management of side effects.
