Course overview:
This course will cover a brief overview of the history of Alzheimer disease and late developments in the disease. Specific comparison of vascular dementia verses other types of dementia are reviewed. Epidemiology and an understanding of how certain lifestyle factors may preempt vascular dementia will be discussed. Pathophysiology and diagnostic challenges and limitations associated vascular dementia diagnosis will be shared.
