Course Overview:

This course reviews the problem behind Alzheimer disease and other types of dementia.  Discussion covers the history of scientific approaches that have failed, the pros and cons of these scientific approaches as well odds ratios for developing Alzheimer dementia.  This course reviews the effects of loneliness, isolation and neglect while emphasizing the principle of resiliency and reducing the risk factors for developing cognitive impairment.
